- The global dependence on soybeans will
continue to rise in 2016/17. Insufficient supplies of
rapeseed & canola as well as of palm oil (at least until
early 2017) will stimulate increased soybean crushings...
- South American soybean planting prospects
have deteriorated, limiting the extent of the supply
recovery in early 2017...
- We estimate US soybean exports to increase
sharply by 5.0 Mn T to almost 45 Mn T in Sept/Febr
2016/17, likely to be followed by a year-on-year decline
in March/Aug 2017...
- We forecast world production of oils and fats
to increase massively by about 10 Mn T to 213.7 Mn T in
Oct/Sept 2016/17, exceeding consumption estimated at

- World sunflower oil exports are likely to
increase to a record 9.1 Mn T in Oct/Sept 2016/17, up
from 8.3 Mn T this season, probably exceeding the yearearlier
level already in Oct/Dec...
